The Beach at Governors Island series runs through October. Information: thebeachconcerts.com.
New York Water Taxi operates ferries to Governors Island; round-trip fare is included in the ticket price. There are also free municipal ferries, but service ends before many concerts are over. Transit information: nywatertaxi.com or govisland.com.
Seaport Music will run through Aug. 14 on Pier 17 at the South Street Seaport, Fulton and South Streets, Lower Manhattan. Shows are free and begin at 6 p.m. Information: seaportmusicfestival.com.

July 12
POOL PARTIES Mission of Burma, [********], Ponytail and Jemina Pearl.
BEACH AT GOVERNORS ISLAND Free family events. At 3 p.m. “A Tribute to Maurice Sendak,” with Rachel Trachtenburg’s Homemade World, a band; and the Beach Animals, a puppet group. From 4 to 7 p.m., music provided by DJ kHZ.
July 17
SEAPORT MUSIC Superchunk and Versus.
July 18
BEACH AT GOVERNORS ISLAND Free family events. At 10 a.m., “The Tony Kids Jamboree,” with jugglers, music and arts activities (also July 26, same time). From 2 to 6 p.m., music by DJ Erik the Red and DJ DRM. From 7 p.m. to 2 a.m., music by DJ Rich Medina and DJ Brian Coxx; $5 round trip transportation.
July 19
