A treat for sailors in New York Harbor
Attention all New York Harbor Boaters – you can participate in this season’s most historic event.
“Eleonora” is one of the grand classic yachts of Europe. And she is coming to the East Coast. She will sail in New York Harbor on Sunday afternoon, July 6. You can join a flotilla to help welcome her to the city. Come out and participate in the “Eleonora Friendship Sail!”
Eleonora is a gaff- rigged schooner and a replica of Nathanael Greene Herreshoff’s famous 1910 schooner “Westward.” At 162 feet, she is the epitome of grace and style. Click for more details details about this incredible yacht. Under sail, she is a magical sight. Don’t miss this experience.
So cast off your dock lines and sail out into the harbor on Sunday, July 6 to help give a big New York Harbor welcome to this beauty.

And please tell your boating friends! If you are located in a marina, please make sure your fellow boaters know about this opportunity. If you would like to help coordinate participation in your marina, let me know and I will designate you as a “Fleet Captain.” We can also send you a poster for a bulletin board or to hand out to your fellow boaters.
